Blue Tech Awarded a Three-Year Marine Corps
Information Technology Contract
May 10, 2012 – San Diego, California – Blue Tech Inc., headquartered in San Diego, CA is proud to announce that it has been awarded a three year contract by the Marine Corps for computer systems equipment. The contract, known as the Marine Corps Common Hardware Suite (MCHS), will provide standardized computing equipment and worldwide integrated logistics support for the Marine Corps operating forces and to the Department of Navy, while achieving the lowest cost of ownership through centralized procurement of high quality, COTS hardware. Blue Tech was founded in 1984 and competed with other information technology firms across the country for this multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
The MCHS contract is for a base of three years, with two additional one-year option periods, and the aggregate potential value of the contract is up to $775,000,000. The Marine Corps will use this contract to procure computer systems, including ruggedized and non-ruggedized desktops and laptops, as well as servers and other associated computer equipment and accessories. The equipment will be provided along with significant support services for the equipment deployed throughout the world.
